How it all started.

Amber Nash was a PTO parent and a volunteer. The groups she was in were always fundraising. She wanted that time back for the students.

The PTO looks for the parents who buy technology at work and invites them with a ready-to-send kit. Approved organizations can plan managed outreach with Kithix during setup. The IT leader names a project they already have. We identify relevant options among established suppliers from the U.S. network, and the IT leader decides if one fits. If the company buys, the PTO or booster receives a donation every quarter after invoices are paid, while the referred account remains active. The IT leader does not pay extra. Kithix is paid by the suppliers we match.

Kith is an old English word for friends and acquaintances, just like the parents in the Tuesday PTO meeting. Kithix is named for them, and for the technology they already buy at work. Schools already have the people. They keep getting asked to sell candy, discount cards, flowers, or some other item anyway.
