Nothing to apply. Nothing to use the kit. If nobody buys, the organization owes nothing. The wrapping paper can stay at the warehouse.

When do donations arrive?

The PTO or booster receives a donation every quarter after invoices are paid, while the referred account remains active. Tax and payment details are verified through the private setup process after selection, not on the public application. The amount follows the stated share of the customer’s monthly spend.

Do we need to be a 501(c)(3)?

No. Official PTOs and PTAs can apply. So can football boosters, band boosters, theater, choir, and other school clubs that are not charities. If approved, the organization provides its legal payee details and completes W-9 and payment verification through the private setup process.

When does funding start?

There is no donation at application or intake. An IT leader must submit a need, choose to continue with a supplier, complete a purchase, and have the resulting invoices paid. The PTO or booster then receives a donation on the applicable quarterly cycle, while the referred account remains active. No start date is guaranteed.

Who contacts the IT person?

The organization or a parent sends the invitation using the ready-to-send kit. Approved organizations can plan managed outreach with Kithix during setup. The IT leader completes a school-specific, guided four-step intake. Kithix identifies relevant suppliers, and the IT leader decides whether to continue. The organization sees first name, company, and general status only.

Yes. The Kithix program serves United States organizations and United States companies.

What if the referred account is canceled or inactive?

Accepted Answer

Donations from that account continue only while it remains active and its invoices are paid. If the account is canceled or no longer active, donations from that account stop. Other active referred accounts are handled separately. No annual amount is guaranteed.

Is this a tax-deductible donation?

Accepted Answer

No. What we send you is quarterly funding under a written agreement. The company does not get a charitable write-off for picking a supplier. Ask your treasurer or CPA how to book it.

Are the calculator and funding examples guarantees?

No. They are modeled examples based on stated spend tiers and hypothetical mixes. They are not forecasts, promises, or customer results. Actual donations depend on referred companies buying, invoices being paid, and accounts remaining active.

What does the organization see from an IT intake?

First name, company, and general status only. The organization does not see project details, budget, business contact details, or meeting windows.

Kithix receives and reviews the application. Applying does not launch a kit or create a funding relationship. If approved, the organization completes a payee packet and setup before its microsite and kit go live. Kithix does not promise a review timeline.

Kithix reviews the stated need and uses the intake to identify relevant suppliers. Introduction details go to the IT leader’s work email. No supplier meeting happens until the IT leader chooses to continue, and Kithix does not promise a response timeline.

Do IT leaders still follow employer procurement policy?

Yes. Always follow the employer’s procurement, approval, due-diligence, contracting, security, and compliance requirements. A Kithix listing or introduction does not replace that process. The IT leader decides fit.

What does a supplier listing or match mean?

The directory includes established suppliers from the U.S. network and organizes them by relevant service categories. A listing does not prove quality, performance, availability, or fit. An intake-based match narrows the field; it is not an endorsement or guarantee. The IT leader evaluates the supplier and decides fit.

Do we still run the auction and the spirit-wear store?

Yes, if those still work for your school. Kithix is not a family donation page. Families are not asked to donate through us. If a referred company buys technology it already needed, the organization receives a donation every quarter after invoices are paid, while that account remains active. That residual is what lets the catalog stay in the warehouse.
